Hello Lacrosse Family, my name is Nancy Haberman, and I am so excited to get the ball rolling on our tailgate planning for the upcoming season. As you know, it takes a village, and I am excited to invite you to assist in helping us make our tailgates a success. Please review the information below
General Description of Spring Tailgates. The tradition over the last two years is to hold a pre-game tailgate before each spring game. This year we’d like each class to coordinate a certain number of tailgates and identify a class-level tailgate coordinator to assist me in the coordination.
Including the spring scrimmage at Richmond, we have 15 regular season games and tailgates to prepare. Since dates are still flexible, we will wait to coordinate tailgates during the Patriot League tournament play.
Last year, we had teams (4-5 families) work together to coordinate themed tailgates and/or bring set food items to help reduce food waste. Examples of themed tailgates last year were St. Patrick's Day, and Barbeque.
Number of tailgates coordinated by each class in spring 2025:
Junior Families: 5 tailgates (this includes the October 20th tailgate)
Senior Families: 3 tailgates
Freshman Families: 4 tailgates
Sophomore Families: 4 tailgates
Class Level Coordinator. We are seeking class-level coordinators for the senior (2025 class) and sophomore (2027 class). Jen Wilbur, mom to Connor Wilbur, will coordinate for the freshman (2028 class). Thanks, Jen!
Responsibilities. The class-level coordinator ensures that their class' tailgates are covered and communicates any needs back to me (Nancy). In addition, the coordinator is the point person for their class-level volunteers. The coordinator can also sign up to volunteer to contribute to a tailgate.
If you are interested in being a senior or sophomore coordinator, please reach out to me via text, cell number is 516-242-0021.
